DAVE CORNTHWAITE VS THE MISSISSIPPI RIVER
Dave Cornthwaite has now paddled over 1600 miles down the Mississippi River on his Stand Up Paddleboard, Artemis. He has passed through the States of Minnesota, Wisconsin, Iowa, Illinois, Missouri, Kentucky, Tennessee , Arkansas and Mississippi, slinging his hammock between trees on the river banks, pulling his paddleboard up over dams and dodging huge industrial barges that plough their trade along the river.
Passing through cities like Minneapolis, St Paul, La Crosse, Quad Cities and St Louis, Dave has become a river celebrity, already earning over 10 front page articles. He is also stopping in certain towns to give talks, raising more money towards his charitable causes. Earlier this week Dave paddled out of Memphis, TN dressed as Elvis Presley. It doesn’t need saying that the local press got a lot out of this!
